Mikko Aspa is a racist cunt. Believe me. I've seen his writings on boards. If you want to support that horseshit (i.e. Finnish white supremacist black metal), it's your fucking funeral.

If you're only in it for the raw noise.........

Finally - I've been trying to find this one everywhere - now my Last Exit live collection is pretty much complete!!

It amazes me how different each of their albums is. they must have just felt like doing something differently everywhere they played - which is the point to free improvising - but they still actually make some music!

Very cool.

ThanX

Likewise. I had some music drama for a bit, thought I was getting signed, didn't, multiple moves and started a job in advertising. IT'S JUST LIKE MADMEN! But with tons of internet surfing and no intensely hot redhead amazons.

To me DB sounds like a crossroads - not a complete return to death metal, it's too simple and fun for death metal fans to dig it, plus it follows riff logic - a rock move for sure. It would've been cool to hear a true garage death hybrid, but - that wouldn't sell, would it?

Man, I can see why you don't post too much anymore - the discussion has turned to friggin' dust. I did some posting over at Shiny Grey Monotone in their forum - tons of downloads and, to this date, NO DISCUSSION whatsoever. What's the point, y'know?

I'm just surprised by how quickly it all turned to shit.

Oh, Organ*Pron has been an endless source of amusement - a lot of confused old folks trying to buy and sell their organs, leaving their phone numbers, making demands, it's awesome. No CC #'s yet, but it's only a matter of time.

Holy fuck.

I thought you'd died. Where ya been, man? Good to "see" ya!

To answer yer q, I took a shot at Nicke somewhere on here for the cynical, cash-in nature of Death Breath. "Gimmicky" is the perfect way to describe it. I mean, I can't be too hard on the dude, cuz he was, after all, one of the major architects of "Clandestine," possibly thee GREATEST death metal album EVER. Still, DB screams "garage punk is dead, death metal's back in" at me.

Hey Jake, Long Time BLABLAH..
Have you heard 'Death Breath'? It's pretty gimmicky tongue in cheek 'Death 'N' Roll' (without too much winking) from Entombed / Hellacopters doods. Basically, it's first wave black metal and a lil' death metal worship from before death became totally insular and black metal was still Celtic Frost, Bathory and Venom. Inconsequential, but fun stuff - I've got if you need.
